Good afternoon everyone! 👋 This is a little promo for another of @Charity-Guild's amazing charity proyects in which I'll be participating, since I think it'd be great to get more people on board for the 2024 edition of "Coloring Books for Charity"! ✍📚 I'm happy to participate not only because I love coming up with coloring pages and I have a lovely FF7 idea in mind to submit, but because this project will benefit the Sick Kids Hospital, as ReallyColor will professionally print the coloring books so that they can be distributed to the children who are patients at the hospital. 😊💖 This neat project has already been done in 2016 (as you can see below 👇) and the artists involved posted many coloring pages that no doubt made the children who were having a hard time in the hospital very happy. 🖌️ I spend a lot of time in hospitals and can attest that the stay is never pleasant 'cause being sick sucks (😅) so receiving a whole coloring book will no doubt brighten the day of any tired, sick

Last night I posted some poems belonging to my poetry book "Nebulosa de versos" ("Nebula of Verses" in English; published a while ago in AO3) for purely archival purposes, so I hope you didn't mind the spam of all 12 deviations in a different language, lol. 😂👍 I've been writing poetry for as long as I can remember and have even won a handful of awards in the past for it, but I don't think I'll translate it into English anytime soon because Spanish poetry is a whole different monster than English poetry in terms of grammar, meter, rhythm, and rhyme; so I'm afraid I won't manage to replicate the meaning/structure of my poems in English. 🤔 In case there's any Spanish-speaking reader interested in checking out my poetry book, here you can find the folder where I keep each poem! 😉📚 Please excuse the lack of the "Ñ" letter and accents in some of the titles. 😅 DeviantArt, like most websites, doesn't allow the use of the "Ñ" letter or accents in the titles, so I had to make it up by writing

This month I've seen many well-known people embracing AI and gushing with praise every time dA features or awards an AI user, so, because of my position as a Senior Member on the site, I want to explain to my esteemed watchers and friends the reasons behind my silence and lack of involvement in the recent discussions on the subject: I love dA (I still think it's the best site for posting art 💯), and I'm infinitely grateful to it for naming me a Senior Member, awarding me with the great honor of the Deviousness Award, and even gifting me a wonderful digital drawing tablet in the "Devious Dreams" 2019 contest that I treasure like anything else (💖), but I'm unable to support AI generators because I think they're a sign of how sick our consumerist society is with the insidious virus of instant gratification/validation that will do enormous harm to humanity by robbing it of millions of unique artists who'll never reach their true potential because of giving up too soon after thinking they

By now most of you know that I got the Deviousness Award, something for which I'm super, super grateful. 🙏💖 I'm at a loss for words to express the happiness I feel at this recognition (especially since I've been thanking people for the beautiful comments they dropped on the journal for 2 days now! 🤗), but there's a small dark cloud that slightly dimmed the joy of receiving the award. On December 14, I received an email announcing the happy news and asking me to write a brief acceptance speech talking about myself (they never mentioned a word limit, I was just told to do it in the way of a previous award recipient). But whoever posted the Deviousness journal changed most of the words I used, switched the order of the paragraphs, and edited out some major details. I put a lot of effort into writing that speech and seeing them

Hey guys, I'm currently a bit slow at making art (and writing my beloved Hakuouki fic too) because my mom had a heart attack caused by high blood pressure due to work stress (her job is extremely demanding) and I've been kind of "just existing" while processing the whole thing. 😣 Fortunately, the paramedics were able to treat her in time and she has been recovering at home with plenty of rest and meds, although this wouldn't have happened if the doctors hadn't misdiagnosed her heart issues as "panic attacks" due to "anxiety" more than 2 years ago. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Honestly, fewer women would die of health problems if doctors didn't treat us as hypersensitive overreactors every time we ask for help. 🙄 They got to the point of advising my mom to "not even allow herself to think about having a heart attack when her chest hurted because that would only increase the duration of her panic attacks" and look how that turned out. 😑 My mom would've died in her office if it wasn't for a coworker walking in

I'm currently coloring the Clerith (Cloud/Aerith) illustration I told you about before, so stay tuned 'cause I'll be posting it soon! 😊💖 Speaking of Clerith, I finished playing FF7 Rebirth last night and omg... I'm a multishipper who likes many ships but Clerith is my favorite one since I was a child, so I loved everything about Rebirth! 🥰 Right now I feel like I have more feelings than words to express them, lol, but one detail that surprises me is that I finished sketching my illustration on February 19 (a few days before Rebirth was released 👀), and now that I finished the game I realize the situation in which I drew them is super relevant to Rebirth’s plot! 🙈💕 I can't wait to show it to you guys, so thanks as always for the patience! 😁🙏 The new pencil for my drawing tablet arrived in the mail 2 days ago, and now I find it much easier to draw with it than with the eraser of the previous pencil whose tip pressure detector broke in October (😂), so it won't take me as long to
